Penguins to Tour America in 2020

Penguins, a children’s production choreographed by Carlos Pons Guerra and directed by Paul MacEneaney, co-produced by Cahoots NI and Birmingham Rep, will be touring across the US throughout winter and spring 2020.

Following two highly attended performances at Philadelphia’s Play and Players Theater in January 2019 (part of the IPAY Showcase, for which the production was selected), Penguins has been booked for an extensive tour of the US, where it will be delighting children and adults alike with its heart-warming message.

Penguins is based on the true story of Roy and Silo, two male chinstrap penguins who lived at New York’s Central Zoo; together they hatched an abandoned egg and raised a chick. Following a highly succesful UK and Ireland tour, American audiences will now be able to enjoy a warm and engaging story about friendship, acceptance and the ever-changing definition of what makes a family. Featuring original music, dance and magic, this is a unique experience not to be missed.
